Say 'Yes' to This! Alysha Deslorieux Begins Performances in Broadway's Hamilton

Hamilton original cast member Alysha Deslorieux is saying "Yes" to center stage! She steps into the roles of Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds full time beginning on December 16; Jasmine Cephas Jones played her final performance in the dual role on December 8 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

Deslorieux's other Broadway credits include Beautiful and Sister Act; she also performed in the national tour of the latter. Regionally, she has been seen in Found.

The current cast is led by Javier Muñoz as Alexander Hamilton, with Brandon Victor Dixon as Aaron Burr, Lexi Lawson as Eliza Hamilton, Mandy Gonzalez as Angelica Schuyler, Nicholas Christopher as George Washington, Seth Stewart as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, Jordan Fisher as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton, Rory O'Malley as King George and Okieriete Onaodowan as James Madison and Hercules Mulligan.

As previously reported, Onaodowan takes his final bow on December 24; J. Quinton Johnson will play Hercules Mulligan and James Madison beginning on January 6. Bryan Terrell Clark is set to play George Washington, taking over for Nicholas Christopher on January 10. In addition, Saturday Night Live alum Taran Killam will take over as King George on January 17, 2017.
